Be proud of your ‘own’ Edges
Teenage is that time period of one’s life in which you concentrate to learn new things, having adventures, taking risks and building new relationships. The world that we teenagers live in is entirely different from the other age groups.
We have got our own set of problems, be it in school, social life or friends.

One of the major issues generally all teenagers face is “body shaming’. They want to look “perfect”. For them, ‘perfection’ means having a desirable perfect body. Every person is supposed to look fair and lovely, which itself is degradation of concept of beauty. Beauty is a concept that we teenagers usually misinterpret.
These days fat shaming or skinny shaming is common among teenagers. If they do not fit in set shape or size, they feel low, they lose their confidence.
They try every possible step to change their body according to their desire and end up with harming themselves.
And who judges these bodies? Well, it’s us ourselves. We think that ten to twelve filters will make us look ‘perfect’.
We are so lost in chasing ‘so called perfection’ that we are losing our uniqueness.
“Why do we need these changes in us when we are a perfect version of our own?”
“Why have we given so importance to the things that don’t define us?”
“Why do we try to adjust when we are perfect to stand out?”
We need to change the way we look ourselves. Beauty is only skin deep. What matters is not how we look, but how we feel inside. “Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder”. Our personality, dreams, ambitions all are sidelined due to this beauty-obsessed society.
“Tiger wouldn’t be a tiger without stripes”. We are perfect, the way we are, the way Almighty has made us. We are created the way we are for a reason.
So learn to love yourself, be the way you are and enjoy life to the fullest and with confidence.
Be proud of your own Edges!
