Self-awareness

The very basic element of emotional intelligence is self awareness which revolves around an individual self and the environment we live in.

Self awareness is the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals. It means how an individual knows and understand one’s own self character, behavior, feelings and desires.

Self Awareness is having clarity of our personality, strengths, weaknesses, thoughts and emotions. Self Awareness allows us to understand other people, how they perceive us, our attitude and our responses to others in the moment.Self-awareness

Developing self awareness is one of the crucial aspect of the life for overall development of our personality.

In these past few days, I have been wondering about my own personality traits, character and feeling. It is really very fascinating to know our own self and allows us to grow further in a particular direction.

I would love to share with all of you that what have helped me to develop self awareness:-

  1. Self awareness can be developed over time through practice. Deliberate and consistent efforts. It is not any conceptual idea but a fact that needs to be accepted from all our hearts.

  2. Listening to intuition-Intuition plays a very key role while making important decision. It is a gut feeling that comes from inside us. Moreover, this will help you even more, this is an effective way to feed your subconscious mind.

  3. Knowing emotional triggers:-To understand the emotional triggers can prove very useful. When we know “how we react?” in situations may help us grow eventually.

  4. Ask for feedback:- This can prove very simple and useful, once you know the right person to ask for.

  5. Practice self discipline:- This practice helps us to ground ourselves and give a path of living. If we want to control our desires and impulses to stay focused on what we think needs to get done to successfully achieve that goal, we need to practice self discipline.

  6. Try new things– Trying various different things and understanding the flavor of stuff can help us understand ourselves better.

SO THESE WERE SOME OF THE THINGS I LEARNED WITH TIME THROUGH MY EXPERIENCE.HOPE IT CAN EVEN HELP YOU TO GROW A LITTLE MORE.
